Delish Winter Recipes

Winter is a season of baking/cooking and I have some amazing recipes to help warm your winter. These two recipes are some of my favorites for winter and I am so happy to share them with you.
The Best Hot Cocoa: This recipe was made by my mom. It is such a rich creamy Hot cocoa without the overwhelming flavor of chocolate. It has always been my favorite hot cocoa for winter
You will need:
- 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 7 cups of your choice of Milk
- 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 a teaspoon cinnamon
- toppings of choose
Steps:
- Pour all ingredients except for toppings in a slow cooker
- cover and cook on low for 2 hours until the chocolate is melted
- serve in a mug with you toppings for choice and enjoy
The Best Chicken Noodle Soup: This recipe was made by my dad. It will warm you up after a cold winter day with the delicious flavors of chicken and vegetables.
you will need:
- 3 cups of uncooked egg noodles
- 1 rotisserie chicken prepared off the bone
- 4 celery ribs chopped
- ¼ teaspoon garlic salt
- 10 cups of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of freshly chopped parsley
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper and salt
- 1 chopped fresh onion
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 2 dried bay leaves
- 4 medium carrots chopped
Steps:
- Add your garlic to a stockpot and let cook for 1 minute before adding your onion then cook for 4 minutes
- Add the broth and bring to a boil then turn the heat to low
- Add all the seasonings and the celery, carrots, bay leaves, and parsley then cover and let simmer for 30 minutes
- while the soup is cooking put 5 cups of water in a pot and bring to a boil before adding noddles and cooking until soft
- once the time is up remover from heat and add the chicken and let sit for 10 minutes before adding noodles and serving
